This piece is based off a concept by Ann Novikova.
I created the scene to practice procedural stylized texturing in Substance Painter.
I modeled all the assets in Maya before taking them to Z-brush for a high poly pass. I then took them into Substance painter to bake all my maps. I ended up combining procedural methods with hand painted overlays to get the best effect. I found that starting with the procedural workflow allowed me to spend more time on small hand painted details that add impact and story to the scene.
